A new version of the classic Cluedo. Move around the electronic board working out who did the murder, where and with what instrument. |
Ease to set up / learn |
There is a bit to build to start with but otherwise set up is straightforward. It takes quite a while to work out the gameplay - particularly if you are new to Cluedo. |
Fun Factor |
The kids in particular loved this electronic version where the butler speaks to you, telling you which suspects are in your location. Good fun though impatient adults may get bored! |
Family Factor |
8 upwards is the age limit and this is probably right given the thinking level needed. Good interaction and kept the interest going. |
Originality |
An absolute original classic and with the added electronic twist. |
Play it again |
It’s one of those you’ll keep getting out of the cupboard again and again. |
Build quality |
Generally good construction. The board feels well made and the electronic detection is quite ingenious. The plastic playing figures feel a bit delicate and may suffer in younger hands. |
Educational |
Gets the brain going but you won’t gain much in terms of knowledge. |
Value for money |
Although this is an expensive version you do get a fair bit for your money. |
Overall |
The electronic version of this classic gives it a new twist and increases the fun, especially for the children. Not worth getting if you already have another version but certainly worth considering if you are buying Cluedo for the first time. |
